Our annual get together has been arranged on Saturday, the 25th of February 2017 

to celebrate the birthday of our Beloved Avatar Meher Baba 

The birthday celebrations programme details

Jai Sai Meher

Morning 11 am onwards ( Maybe till 1 or 2 pm):- Distribution of food to the poor and animals ( stray cows, dogs and birds) individually at each one’s convenience in one’s own area or collectively in a group.

Afternoon post lunch 2 pm to 4 pm:- Volunteers to assemble at the venue for set up and preparations as per responsibilities assigned.

Evening 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm as per details given below:-  

1) 5.30 to 8 pm:- Prayers, aarti and bhajans. 

2) 8 pm to 9.00 pm:- Prasaddaam and Langar. 

Stalwarts who have been singing for Meher Baba since 43 years like Mr Ubale and family will be singing for the occasion. The 6 singers and musicians are coming from Nagpur, Wardha and Vishakhapatnam. Our dear Nisha Shivdasani,  Sai Baba’s nightingale will also be joining the singing team. 

We request all of you to come with friends and family in large numbers so that as many as possible can receive Baba’s Love and blessings. 

PLEASE NOTE: The programme will start dot on time as always. It will also end as per the scheduled time, since we are all aware that Meher Baba was very high on punctuality. It is our appointment with Meher Baba.

We are catering for minimum of 200 people ( maybe more depending upon the response). All left over food will be distributed to the poor as usual.

by  the 3rd of February, 2017.

We need to have accurate numbers well ahead of time, for planning organising and execution.

RSVP is absolutely mandatory.

It is an excellent opportunity to express our love and gratitude for our Beloved Avatar Meher Baba for all the guidance, love and infinite compassion that we have received from Him and continue to receive. It is our THANKSGIVING DAY.

B. If you would like to offer some food item for prasaddam please inform the coordinators (item and quantity as per your convenience) 

Just let us know the item and quantity so that things are not duplicated.

 C. Those who wish to participate in the feeding the poor and stray animals programme either in purchasing of ingredients / cooking / distribution in the morning or evening

D. Those who are willing to come in early in helping set up and decorations

E. Those who can offer transport for pick up and drop for musicians and singers from the railway station and to the venue.

F. Those who can offer transport for purchasing of flowers pick up and drop for miscellaneous purposes.

G. Those who wish to contribute financially to meet the following expenses of the programme:
Hall rent and transport. 
Musicians and singers for their stay and travel. 
Disposable items for distribution of prasaddam/ langar and caterers.
Decoration items and flowers.
Sound system.
Miscellaneous expenses. 
Payments to the hired helpers.

H. Winding up team. Volunteers are required who will stay till after the programme to help wind up.

Apart from the above  at least 15 more volunteers are required:-

1.To come in early and help with the set up and also to decorate the altar.

2. For coordinating for the prasad.

3. For food arrangements and distribution.

4. For Overall organisation.

5. For coordinating and setting up the decorations.

6. To set up of the sound system.

7. To help in setting up of the dais for the musicians and singers and also to help them carry and set up their with their equipments and seating.

8. For miscellaneous requirements
